Cohere is a platform that provides a large language model to help developers and businesses build high-performance AI products. This platform mainly provides AI driven search text (multilingual embedding, neural search, search ranking), classified text, and generated text services, which can help enterprises quickly deploy conversational AI chatbots, generative search engines, text summarization, enhanced vector retrieval, etc.
On May 3rd, Cohere received $250 million in financing, with a current valuation of approximately $2 billion. Investors include Salesforce, Nvidia, Index Ventures, and others. The co-founder of the company, Aidan Gomez, is one of the authors of a paper titled “Attention Is All You Need,” which proposes a Transformer architecture for the adoption of large language models such as GPT.
