V0. dev is a tool launched by the well-known front-end website hosting platform Vercel, which automatically generates web user interfaces using AI. It is based on the popular UI framework Shadcn UI and Tailwind CSS to generate directly usable React component code.
Working principle of v0
V0 uses an AI model to generate code based on simple text prompts. After entering and submitting prompts, it will provide three AI generated user interface options. You can choose one and copy and paste its code, or further improve it. If you want to optimize, you can also choose to fine tune various parts of the generated UI.
V0 can currently generate React DOM elements and Shadcn UI components. After the official release, Vercel will add support for other UI libraries, which may include Svelte, Vue, or pure HTML.
